Field Marshal visits Lahore Garrison, receives briefing on operational preparedness

The Chief of Defense and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Thursday reiterated the army’s zero tolerance policy towards any threat to national security, reaffirming the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront multifaceted challenges.

Field Marshal Asim visited Lahore Garrison where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards and key initiatives to improve combat effectiveness, a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Reiterating the Army’s core mission, Field Marshal Asim noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in ensuring the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability while promoting a culture of excellence, discipline and selfless national service.

In his address to the officers, the COAS & CDF “emphasized the Pakistan Army’s zero tolerance policy towards any threat to national security and affirmed the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront multifaceted challenges with focus, professionalism and determination,” the press release said.

“He reiterated the core mission of the Army and noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in ensuring the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability while promoting a culture of excellence, discipline and selfless national service,” it added.

Earlier, the CDF was received by Commander Lahore Corps on his arrival at Lahore Garrison. “The COAS & CDF witnessed a specialized field training exercise showcasing the latest technologies, underscoring the Army’s emphasis on innovation, adaptability to match the dynamic future battlefield,” ISPR said.

Field Marshal Asim also inspected sports and recreational facilities provided to troops and highlighted their importance in maintaining physical fitness, morale and general well-being.

During the visit, the Army Chief also visited a High Care Center at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore. He praised the efforts of the medical staff and administration to establish a fully equipped, state-of-the-art health center.
