Charles Barkley shared a message to Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison after the NBA director came again headlines this week when he said he was surprised by the fan base’s “level” of love for Luke Doncic after his trade to Los Angeles.
In a speech with journalists Monday during his season ending news conference, Harrison admitted he knew about Doncic’s meaning for fans But had not quite known to what extent it was until there were calls for his firing after the Bombshell trade news.

“I knew Luka was important to the fan base,” Harrison said. “I didn’t quite know it to what level.”

This followed comments he made earlier in the week when he said he had “no regret” about the trade.
Barkley questioned Harrison’s public comments since the trade, and during Monday evening’s broadcast of “NBA at TNT” he shared some advice to Harrison.
“Hear man, I consider you as a friend of mine – Nico Harrison, I consider you as one of my friends. I wish you nothing but the best. I thought you did a good job last year with Mavs, and obviously what happened this year didn’t work,” he started.

“Man, don’t do more press conferences. I don’t even know what you’re doing. I really don’t. I got sympathy and love for you, but I have zero idea of what you’re trying to do. This war is over, brother. You take l (loss).
“I hope you are holding your job. I hope the team gets healthy but man doesn’t do more interviews. Please don’t.”
But Barkley is not alone in his criticism.

In a recent conversation with ESPN, Doncic revealed his feelings about the trade that sent him to Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a future choice of first round.
“Sadness, mostly. I was still in shock, like crazy shock. I felt my heart was broken, honest,” Doncic said.
He added that he was not talking to Harrison the night of trade or since.
