Charlie Kirk praised Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson in the weeks before the conservative influencer was murdered on an Utah campus on Wednesday.
Jackson took Heat in August to share a biblical quote that Kirk had posted in his X account. The one -time NFL MVP was known for sharing messages about faith in social media and being outward about his Christian faith. Kirk welcomes Jackson’s “courage and conviction” in the midst of setback.

In the wake of Kirk’s killing, Jackson was not among those who shared a reaction. However, he shared Super Bowl -Master Torrey Smith’s post.
“To celebrate the death of someone that you do not share the same faith as it is crazy,” wrote Smith on X. “Seeing it playing in real time is upset.”

Kirk was shot at Campus at Utah Valley University in Orem and died later.
President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death later in the day.
“The great and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the heart of youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by everyone, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathy go out to his beautiful wife Erika and family. Charlie, we love you!” Trump wrote about truth social.
A manhunt was launched to the killer.
