Charlotte Flair earned a shot at Tiffany Stratton’s WWE WOMEN’s Championship on Wrestlemania 41 when she made her famous return to Royal Rumble and won it.
The temperature between the two competitors was shown a notch on the road to Wrestlemania. One of the last Faceoffs between Flair and Stratton became personal as the two brought their real relationships up in the middle of the ring.

When the back-and-back began to dizzy in the episode on April 4 of “Friday Night Smackdown”, Stratton went hard and said that after Wrestlemania Flair should be as “alone” inside the ring as she was on the outside and suggested she were “0-3” in her love life-a seeming reference to the divorce she had gone through. Not to mention that Flair was only months removed from her latest divorce from colleague pro wrestler Andrade.
The moment was widely discussed and analyzed in the days that led to their Wrestlemania 41 match, which saw Stratton retain the title. The two have appeared together since then.
On Tuesday, Flair released a piece in the players’ grandstand that remembered the controversial moment. She suggested that the ease left a mark on her.
“And I think that in those times when people have seen me seem rattled by booing, these are just the times when I fancy – at least a moment – boos aren’t into Charlotte. They’re to Ashley,” she wrote referring to her real name, Ashley Fliehr. “They are for me. They are because of the way I look at. Or because of the energy I give off as a woman. Or because of real trauma I have undergone in real life.

“So when it was mentioned in Chicago that I have a ‘0-3 record in marriages’ … yes, it shook me legit. I’m not too proud to tell you. I don’t need everyone to think that I play 5-D chess all the time. My reaction to that line was just as real when it came. Because, and maybe it makes me naive-in my head? Should come to come in this promo … and when he had suddenly been a skill.
Flair admitted that the personal things hit harder than any of the injuries or bumps and bruises that she has achieved over her WWE career.
Flair is a 14-time woman master on the WWE headlist. She is also one of only a few who has won NXT Women’s Championship several times.
