Kansas City Chief’s head coach Andy Reid was in his office when a ball broke through the glass in his office on the team’s practice facility in May 2024, according to a report.
Reid was not hit by the bullet and no injuries were reported from the incident, Kansas City Star reported Wednesday. He was reportedly alone in his office when the bullet went into his office and landed in the wall between the bathroom and his door.

Kansas City Police Department told the newspaper that no arrests were made in the case and “there is no indication that this was a targeted incident in any person or organization.” Sources told the outlets that two other bullets hit the plant in the same case.
Chiefs did not comment on the incident. Police said the case was investigated as “a sharpened assault”, according to Kansas City Star.

The incident took place just months after Chiefs defeated San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl LVIII. Kansas City came back to beat San Francisco in that game.
Reid, 67, is considered one of the most successful head coach of the NFL story, after having only been with two franchises throughout his career – Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

He has won three Super Bowl titles with Chiefs and has a 143-53 record with them. Overall, he is 273-146-1. He has 301 wins, including the playoffs.
