Patrick Mahomes is a major reason why Kansas City Chiefs have raised Vince Lombardi Trophy in back-to-back seasons. He was named the Super Bowl MVP after winning each of these championships.
Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP Heads for the first time in Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the 2020 game.
While Mahomes is entering Sunday’s big fight in the pursuit of an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title, he admitted that his second time the NFL’s title game still stays with him.

In his first season with Buccaneers Tom Brady Tampa Bay led the 2021 Super Bowl. Wednesday in New Orleans, the site of this year’s Super Bowl, Mahomes was asked if there was a particular game that still holds him restless.

Mahomes mentioned 31-9 loss to Brady and Bucs in the Super Bowl.
“Super Bowl versus Tampa,” he replied. “It’s pretty easy.”

Mahomes completed this game with 270 passing yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. While Brady threw in fewer meters – 201 – he was credited to three touchdowns through the air and did not make a turnover.
Brady will be in the Fox Broadcast level when this Sunday’s Super Bowl starts. Instead of preparing for a matchup with the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Mahomes and Chiefs will focus on trying to counter Jalen Hurts, and Philadelphia Eagles.

Hurts makes his second career performance in the league’s championship game. The Eagles chosen hurts in the second round of 2020 NFL draft. He helped Philadelphia move on to 2023 Super Bowl, but Eagles lost 38-35 to Chiefs. This year’s game in New Orleans will be a new match for the Super Bowl from two years ago.
