Before the Philadelphia Eagles ’55 -23 drubbing of the Washington commanders of the NFC championship, the famous Rocky statue was in the center of Philadelphia wearing commander equipment.
In fact, the statue was dressed in Redskins Garb, the commanders’ previous identity.
But Travis Kelce does not buy into the fact that the opposing team’s fans are the ones who dress the “Rocky” statue.

“I’m fully aware that every single meaningful game is happening, I don’t think it’s the other team that does it at this point,” Kelce said during a recent episode of “new heights.”
Jason Kelce, formerly Eagles Star Center and avid supporter of the team, suggested who might dress the statue.
“Do you think Eagles are doing it?” Jason asked.
“100%,” replied Travis.
The Rocky statue has been dressed several times in opponents’ colors, with each apartment usually leading an Eagles victory.
When Eagles won the Super Bowl over New England Patriots, someone put an empty brady jersey on the statue.

During the Eagles race for the Super Bowl in 2023, Rocky was dressed in both New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers gear before the Eagles dismantled both teams on their way to the big game.
Jason then referred to a Kansas City Chiefs shirt on Rocky ahead of Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl-Matchup in 2023, but Travis expressed skepticism that a Chiefs fan was the culprit.
“Yes, it was Chief’s gear,” Travis said doubtfully, “It was like a red shirt that said chiefs on it.”
“They like wrote bosses in Sharpie or something. It has to be Philly, it has to be Eagles fans.”

Jason supported Travis’ theory and said it’s “a conspiracy I can get back.”
Travis believes that the motivation to dress Rocky up in the opposite team’s gear is to get Eagles fans to rilet up.
“They just fire up the whole city and get it nicely and bully,” Kelce said.

Rocky has not yet been dressed in Chief’s gear, but there is still plenty of time before kickoff in the Super Bowl.
