Chiefs’ Travis Kelce reveals what he hopes to do in 3 years

Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce’s football future has been a topic of discussion among fans in front of the Super Bowl Lix.

The 35-year-old tight end was asked where he plans to be in three years at a press conference on the Super Bowl Lix opening evening Monday.

“Hopefully still plays football,” Kelce said.

“I love to do this. I love life. To be Kansas City -Chef and Play Football.”

Before the season, Kelce Chief’s general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid told him he thinks he has two “good years” back in his career, a team source told Athletic.

This season, the 12-year-old veteran had a down year after his standards, but was still productive and caught 97 passes in 823 yards and three touchdowns, making the Pro Bowl for 10th consecutive time.

The three-time Super Bowl champion is under contract for one more year when he signed a two-year-old, $ 34.25 million contract in June 2024, which runs through the 2025-2026 season.

In the AFC division round, Kelce delivered his best performance in the season and caught seven passes in 117 yards and a touchdown against Houston Texans.

Against the Buffalo bills in the AFC championship, Kelce was not almost as much of a factor in the passing game and caught only two passports of four goals for 19 yards.

Kelce has the most receptions in the NFL Playoff History with 174. If he continued to play for another three seasons, he would also have a chance to pass on Jerry Rice as the early NFL-Playoff leader on yards.

Rice has 2,245 yards in the playoffs, while Kelce has 2,039. By preventing a historically receiving output from Kelce in the Super Bowl Lix, he probably needs at least one more deep play with strong numbers to pass rice.
