In a recent address, Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong outlined China’s vision for a multipolar world, emphasizing the need for equal treatment, justice and solidarity in global governance.
He emphasized that the current global transformation – marked by rising geopolitical conflicts, more crises and growing differences in peace, development and governance – has brought the world to a critical time.
According to Jiang, the concept of a multipolar world is not only an inevitability, but also a reality in creation. He expressed China’s obligation to advocate for a multipolar world that is not dominated by superpowers but is built on principles of equality and inclusive.
The ambassador reiterated that China’s attitude promotes equal rights, opportunities and representation of all countries, regardless of their size, and emphasizes the importance of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign nations.
He further emphasized China’s support for the global south and claimed that international affairs no longer had to be monopolized by a few powerful nations. The development and resources in the world, Jiang said, should be shared equally between all countries focusing on achieving win-win cooperation and mutual benefits.
China has consistently advanced global southern rights and interests in which President Xi Jinping advocates for greater cooperation and unity among these nations.
Jiang also pointed out the importance of solidarity and coordination in tackling global challenges. In this context, China promotes an action -oriented approach that goes beyond narrow geopolitical interests and promotes cooperation.
This, he argued, is critical of responding to the world’s most pressing problems, as isolationist approaches as protectionism and decoupling is counterproductive.
