New Delhi: China gave Islamabad “live input” on the most important Indian attitudes during Pakistan’s deadly conflict with its neighbor in May, claimed the Deputy of India’s Army on Friday and called for urgent upgrades to the country’s air defense systems.

The nuclear armed rivals used missiles, drones and artillery fire during the worst of the four-day matches in decades-triggered by an April attack on Hindu tourists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that New Delhi accused of Islamabad before they agreed to a CEASFIRE. Pakistan has denied involvement in the attack.

India fought for two opponents during the conflict, with Pakistan being the “front surface”, while China provided “all possible support,” claimed Lieutenant General Rahul Singh at a defense industry event in New Delhi.

“When DGMO (Director -General of Military Operations) was taking place, Pakistan said … that we know your such and so important vector is due to and it’s ready for action … He got live input from China,” he claimed.

However, Singh did not elaborate on how India knew about the living input from China.

India’s relationship with China was strained following a 2020 border connection that triggered a four-year military resistance, but tension began to ease after the countries reached a covenant to go back in October.

India had previously said that although Pakistan is closely linked to China, there was no evidence of any actual help from Beijing during the conflict.

As for the possibility of China providing satellite images or other real -time information, India’s chief of staff had said such images were commercially available and could have been acquired from China or elsewhere.

Pakistani officials have previously rejected claims to receive active support from China in the conflict.

Beijing, who welcomed the ceasefire in May, has helped Pakistan’s fighting economy with investments and financial support since 2013.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also promised support for Pakistan to protect his national sovereignty and territorial integrity as he met his Pakistani counterparts days after the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, the Indian Deputy Berry boss also claimed that Turkiye also provided key support to Pakistan during the matches, equipped it with Bayractar and “several other” drones and “trained individuals”.

Ankara has strong ties with Islamabad and had expressed solidarity with it during the clash, causing the Indians to boycott everything from Turkish coffee to vacation in the country.

Turkish Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to a Reuters Request for Comment.

The conflict

Last month, Pakistan and India employed the military confrontation of April’s Pahagam attack in IIOJK.

In response to the Indian aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces launched a large-scale military action called “Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos,” and targeted several Indian military targets across multiple regions.

Pakistan put down his six fighter jets, including three rafales, and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear armed nations ended on May 10 with a ceasefire agreement broken by the United States.

The fluid’s ceasefire was first announced by US President Donald Trump on social media after Washington held conversations with both sides, but India has been different with Trump’s claims that it was due to his intervention and threats of interrupting trade interviews.

However, Pakistan has recognized Trump’s efforts and formally recommended him at the Nobel Peace Prize 2026, referring to his role in abusing tension between Pakistan and India last month.
