- Chinese Company Dapustor builds UltraHurtige Business with High Capacity
- Its 1-DWPD ROEALSEN6 R6101 7.68TB SSD seriously impressed in a new review
- A “Engineering Master’s”, SSD provided record speeds
Dapustor is a Chinese start -up that specializes in the development and manufacture of SSDs in business quality – and although you may never have heard of it, it makes it very large – and very fast – storage products.
At the beginning of 2025, Tweattown Tested the Dapustors J5060 61.44TB SSD against a number of company SSDs, including Soliktms the same size Beast, and came away impressed with the operation of the drive’s superior reading performance and declared that it was “the most effective SSD for its capacity point at the moment in circulation”. A new 122.88TB version of the SSD has been viewed online and we look forward to seeing how it compares.
Before that Tweattown managed to get his hands on another Dapustor product, Roealen6 R6101 7.68TB Enterprise SSD. It may not be nowhere near as large as the J5060 but – spoiler alarm – it’s Incredible fast.
An engineering masterpiece
Introducing the new drive, Tweattown Says: “The new SSD is built on Dapustor’s internal developed DP800 controller and firmware. The new series has a PCIe 5.0 interface and 3D ETLC Nand Flash. Supports NVME 2.0 Protocol delivers it twice the performance of PCIe 4.0 SSDS.”
1-DWPD (1 drive writing per day) SSD was found to offer fan performance in the tests that Tweattown Put it through before the place to declare Roealen6 R6101 7.68TB PCIE GEN5 X4 U.2 SSD to be a “engineering masterpiece” and scores it 100% for performance, quality, features and generally.
Along with summarizing his findings, Tweattown‘s Senior Hardware Editor Jon Coulter Gused, “The drive delivers a record that breaks 3.62 million 4K random read IOPS on QD512. This is a huge 10% more than anything we have encountered in the past. In addition, its sequential flow of them is over 11,000 MB/s sequential writing.”
This level of flow alone would be impressive, but it is only part of the story.
“Then there is its mixed work stress, where our 1-DWPD test temporary is delivering more than anything else in its class of meat depths of up to 64. Its mixed work loading benefit is so good that it can hang in with 3-DWPD SSDS on meat depths of up to 16. 7.68TB providers that are as good as we are always seen, ”we have seen,“ Coulleler, Culleler completed.
