Chris Evans keeps his mother on top.
For the unwarter at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Friday 23 May, the 43-year-old American actor’s latest film, Do not tax! Premiere, but he didn’t come to the event. His costs, including Margaret Qualley, Charlie Day, Aubrey Plaza and author director Ethan Coen, were present to debut the film.
By going to his Instagram stories, Evans opened up not to attend the event when he shared a message.
He wrote, “I wish I could have been with my incredible crew and filmmakers at Cannes, but it was my mother’s 70th anniversary and there are some things you just can’t miss! Congratulations everyone !!”

In the same interview, Evans’ mother, Lisa, shared that his “greatest fear was to lose his anonymity” when he thought of playing Captain America.
When she called to thoughts, she revealed, “He said, ‘I have a career now that I can do work I really like. I can go my dog. No one bothering me. No one wants to talk to me. I can go where I want. And the idea of losing it is scary to me.’
Evans used to “call and ask for my advice” as I shoot, and Lisa would tell him, “See you will perform actors for the rest of your life? If you do this part, you will have the opportunity. You never have to worry about paying the rent. If you take the part, just decide that it will not affect my life negatively – it will allow it.”
