The ex-NFL player then performed his “peaceful civil disobedience” as he rushed to the council members before being arrested and performed by police officers. He was later charged with disturbing an assembly.
Kluwe has been a long -standing critic of President Donald Trump and compared the “Make America Great Again” campaign with a “Nazi movement.” He told the daily pilot on Wednesday that he wanted other “democratic elected officials” to follow him.
“I want our elected democratic officials to start engaging in civil disobedience,” he told the business. “People need to be aware that what’s going on with this administration leads us down a real dark path. Right now no one willing to step up and do it. So if I want to ask them to do it, so I must be willing to do so too.

Kluwe added criticism of council members.
“People are talking because it’s the American thing to do,” he said. “You are a public citizen, your voice needs to be heard. But it is very disappointing when your chosen officials are not listening to your voice …
“It’s deeply U -American to do what this advice does, and I think there are many people in this community who get it. At a very visceral level, what we see is not how America should work. “
