Ed McCaffrey wants the world to know that his family is still loyal to Taylor Swift after his wife briefly stopped her music more than a year ago.
At the forefront of San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl LVIII -Matchup against Travis Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs in February last year, Lisa McCaffrey, the mother of the 49ers star, who runs back Christian McCaffrey announced that she would not listen to Swift’s music in the weeks leading up to the game.
“I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next few days,” Lisa said at her Olivia Culpos podcast, “Your Mother,” last February.
“I love her, I love the relationship, but we boycott all T. Swift songs,” the mother added. “If she shows up on the radio station … No. She is dead for us this week.”

The 49s continued to lose the Super Bowl in a 25-22 overtime hearts that Swift celebrated with Kelce on the field while Christian had to accept defeat.
Still, the McCaffrey family has remained Swift fans after the loss.
Ed, father of Christian and man to Lisa, proved this loyalty in an interview with Pakinomist Digital. During the video interview, Ed took the camera to the family living room to show a Taylor Swift Wall Decoration.
“In terms of being a fan of Taylor Swift, it’s in our house,” Ed said of the decoration. “My wife Lisa has probably been one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans despite being with Travis Kelce … and obviously the 49s had to play them in the Super Bowl, Lisa is an incredible fan, she is such a phenomenal artist.

ED insisted that there are “no problems” between the McCaffrey family and Swift, despite Lisa’s broadly published comments last year.
“I don’t know why it was such a big thing back then … I can’t even remember what it was about,” Ed said. “Just to put that case to rest, we were fans long before she was with Travis Kelce, and I can’t even remember what happened to the Super Bowl, but there are certainly no problems here in the McCaffrey family.”
But while Swift may still have the love of the McCaffrey family, other fans over the NFL may have been sour of the pop star’s increasing presence in the sport in the last two seasons.

When Swift participated in Chiefs’ latest Super Bowl performance against Philadelphia Eagles in February, she was brutally booed by fans present when she was shown on Jumbotron during the game. Chiefs continued to lose the game 40-22.
President Donald Trump, who was also present in the game, took the opportunity to mock Swift on truth social after the game.
“The only one who had a harder evening than Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She was booed out of the stadium. Maga is very unforgivable!” Trump wrote.
