Islamabad:
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced that students affected by the leak of three exam papers at A-level in May/June 2025 session are eligible for a free resit in the upcoming November series.
The decision comes in the midst of growing concerns from students, parents and officials, after the exam board confirmed last month that parts of several question papers had been compromised.
CIE, which completes O- and A-level exams globally, recognized the June of June and stated that the students concerned would receive compensation in the form of additional grades for the affected questions.
The leak triggered widespread indignation and demands of transparency, especially after students raised complaints throughout the study window.
Before the Board’s public admission, a parliamentary committee had been informed that the results of the study of the alleged paper leaks would be shared after June 16, a delay that was intensified only public control.
On Monday, CIE published an official update on his Facebook page addressing candidates appearing in any of the three compromised papers from the Session in June 2025.
The affected assessments include Cambridge International AS and a level math paper 12, Cambridge International AS and a level math paper 42, Cambridge International AS and a level computer Science Paper 22.
“The results for these syllabus will be released as usual,” the statement reads.
“We offer free curriculum input, which was detained in the upcoming exam series in November 2025 for students who sat one or more of the three affected papers in June 2025.
“We sent a message to all candidates and their families through schools and will provide additional information after the release of our exam series in June 2025,” CIE added.
“Candidates are asked to contact their schools if they have further questions and thank you again to all students and families.”
