Islamabad:
On Thursday, CII hosted its annual national disadvantages and Mashaikh peace conference in connection with the Holy Month Muharram, confirming his commitment to peace, unity and inter-sectic harmony under the framework of “PAIGAM-E-PAKISTAN” National Narrative.
During the conference, Undery and Mashaikh unanimously approved a Code of Conduct that emphasized that every sect has the right to preach his faith, while hatred, encouraging and taking the law into one’s own hands would not be tolerated. The scholars agreed that the authority to declare any individual a waiver (Takfir) is only in the courts.
