Citrus worth $ 30.9 million Exported in six months

The Federal Minister of Trade Games Kamal Khan has presented in the National Assembly The Details of EXPORTING Citrus fruit for the past six months.

According to documents, from July to December 2024, Pakistan exported 105,690 tons of citrus fruits. During the same period, export of citrus fruit for $ 30.9 million.

Of these, $ 16.72 million was exported to Afghanistan. Citrus fruits worth $ 3.90 million were exported to UAE and worth $ 3.30 million was exported to Indonesia.

A total of 25 countries, including Britain, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore and Belgium, imported citrus fruits from Pakistan.

The minister also presented in the house the details of the trade deficit for the past five years. According to documents, the trade deficit amounted to $ 23.16 billion by 2020, while by 2021 it rose to $ 31.8 billion.

In 2022, the trade deficit increased further to $ 48.35 billion; By 2023, the trade deficit fell to $ 27.47 billion, and by 2024 the trade deficit fell further to $ 24.11 billion.
