Islamabad:
Capital Development Authority (CDA) has asked officials to speed up the ongoing upgrade work aimed at turning the CDA kindergarten into ‘Gardenia Hub’.
CDA chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited CDA -Kindergarten together with membership technology, membership environment and other senior CDA officers to review the ongoing work.
The chairman stated that the main goal of the project is to place Islamabad as a key player in the horticulture sector.
He instructed the relevant officials to accelerate the construction of modern flower shops that will not only beautify the city but also serve as a recreational attraction for the residents.
He further directed the construction of advanced climate -controlled greenhouses to optimize plant growth and support research initiatives. In addition, a tissue culture laboratory is established to spread new plant species using advanced techniques.
A dedicated floral area shows seasonal flower and low-season flowers for public viewing.
CDA chairman emphasized that Gardenia Hub is in line with CDA’s efforts to improve Islamabad’s green coverage and promote environmental sustainability. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities in the horticulture sector while adding new international benchmarks to such facilities.
He conducted the end of work within the timeline and ensured compliance with global standards.
He reiterated that the initiative would raise Islamabad’s horticulture landscape and serve as a model for the region.
