Karachi:
Five people were wounded during a clash between two groups near the Gharibabad Railway Transition on Sunday.
The incident took place within the Azizabad jurisdiction, where residents of provisional cabins and people from a nearby residential area came to battle, resulting in damage to five people, including a woman.
Police said furious individuals during the clash fired people to the cabins and burned five of them all the way down. A fire bid reached the place and brought the fire under control.
According to police, the wounded stated that some boys from the nearby residential area used to come to the cabins for drug use that the cabin residents opposed. When they were stopped, a fight broke out.
The wounded were moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Police identified the wounded as 34-year-old Allah Wasia, 35-year-old Khalid, 48-year-old Noor Jahan, 50-year-old Imtiaz and 55-year-old Dar Naz. It is said that everyone was out of danger.
Police also said investigations of the incident have begun while a search is underway after those responsible for setting the cabins on fire.
