Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced free e-bikes to 2,200 players who won divisional competitions in Khelta Punjab Games 2025.
She talked about the initial ceremony for the games and said the winning players would also have permission for free access to Horse and Cattle Show. “I want to see Punjab’s players win laurels at international level,” she added.
The main minister said, “Champions only have to focus on their sports activities and should not be misled in the hands of miscreans to create chaos and turmoil in the country. If someone asks you to create anarchy in our country, the youth should not borrow an ear For them.
She added, “the one that causes you to set the country on fire, attacking the institutions is your greatest enemy. Only Pakistan should be ‘red line’ of all. No step should be taken against our dear motherland. Every step should be taken for that progress and the development of Pakistan.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also met a delegation led by the European Union’s special representative of Human Rights Olaf Skoog and discussed issues relating to the promotion of basic human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
She appreciated the continued partnership of the European Union with Pakistan, especially Punjab on human rights issues.
The EU delegation repeated its commitment to continuing to support the Punjab government to protect human rights.
CM said, “Pakistan is fully in line with the United Nations human rights mechanisms. We comply with the promotion of democracy, legal chair -abled persons and other vulnerable segments in the province.”
She said, “Pakistan recently attended an important UN review meeting on human rights. Pakistan submitted his review under the International Convention on Eliminating All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) in August 2024.”
She added, “Collaboration with the European Union on the promotion of basic human rights will be strengthened.”
