Lahore:
Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered the desiling of the Lahore channel and the car’s nesting of a sewer system while keeping it considering the city’s future needs.
She was chairman of a meeting to review progress with the Lahore development program, where the Deputy Commissioner presented a report.
CM was informed that WASA would put a total of 780 kilometers of new pipes on one to six feet in Lahore. In the first phase, 450 km of sewer pipes will be laid.
The contract is launched through Lahore Development Management Information System. Nempak will inspect the project via the Inspector app. Digital tracking of physical and economic progress can also be performed through the management information system.
CM was informed that RS16 billion had been rescued by adopting transparency in the Lahore development plan.
In the first phase of the plan, construction, renovation and development of six zones in Lahore is carried out. The development plan includes the construction of water supply and drainage system, connection paths and street coating. The installation of street lights and the rehabilitation of parks is also included in the plan.
Cm said, “Streets in villages should be paved on the same pattern and quality as in cities. There will be no compromise on the quality of the development projects.”

Meanwhile, the RS340 million have been released for the purchase of medicine for Mayo Hospital on the chief minister’s instructions.
According to an official statement, permission has been granted to use the existing funds intended for wages and reimbursement of the vacancies in the hospital for the purchase of medicine.
The finance department has issued an order to redistribute the funds.
