Cm reveals education, uplifted initiatives in South Punjab

Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif revealed a number of significant development and educational initiatives during a Layyah ceremony on Thursday, where she distributed laptops and Honhar scholarship control.

In its address, CM announced the creation of a medical college in Layyah and awarded RS3 billion for the development of universities in Dera Ghazi Khan and Layyah.

She also declared the creation of Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Education in both cities.

In highlighting its commitment to educational reform, CM announced a massive RS110 billion plan to provide basic facilities – classrooms, toilets and clean water – to all schools in Punjab within a year. “No school in Punjab will be deprived of significant facilities,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also paid tribute to the success of the Pakistani Army in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and expanded congratulations to Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Babar Zaheer Sindhu. She paid tribute to the victims of military staff and emphasized national unity and youth power.

“Youth must become a fortress for Pakistan. If they stand strong, no one can strengthen us,” she said. “I want any hard -working student to feel supported. If parents lack resources, the state must act as a mother.”

The Honhar scholarship was raised from the RS30 to RS50,000, and the number of distributed laptops increased to 100,000. “These are your rights, do not favor,” she told the students.

Completed her address, she encouraged the youth to reject sedition and maintain national values. “Those who lead youth astray have left them. Let’s stand with development, unity and the dignity of our institutions.”

Previously, CM met with the trooping Rural Director of the World Bank, Najy Benhassine, and confirmed the provincial’s long -standing partnership with the international financial institution and paid tribute to his contribution since the acquisition of the role in 2020.

During the meeting, held in Lahore, the minister of chief greeted warm legs and praised his efforts to strengthen the development cooperation between the World Bank and Pakistan, especially Punjab.
