Cm reveals ‘Game Extensions’ Projects

Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Nawaz Sharif -Flyover on the Adiala Road and GPO division on Mall Road in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, marking the end of two major infrastructure projects aimed at improving the traffic stream in the city.

During the inauguration ceremony, CM Maryam announced plans to launch clean drinking water projects over Punjab, including the South Punjab and the Potohar region. She highlighted the Swift Development Tempo and noted that roads that were neglected for 30 years are now being built in record time.

The two mega projects that were completed at a price of RS8.77 billion were opened to traffic after the inauguration. Nawaz Sharif airplane connects Katchehry Chowk to GT Road, Rawalpindi Ring Road and Chakri exchange, reducing travel time significantly by over an hour and saves commuters millions in fuel costs. Service paths have also been constructed on both sides of the flyover spanning two kilometers.

The GPO review, located on Mall Road, is part of a signal-free corridor from GPO Chowk to TM Chowk and will ease over 200,000 vehicles daily. The project includes a modern intelligent signal system and a pedestrian downfall near AFIC for public convenience. The downfall also improves the connection to Kashmir Road and National Highway (N-5), who benefit patients traveling to CMH, MH and AFIC Hospitals.

The residents warmly welcomed the minister with flower petals and slogans during her visit. CM Maryam recognized the support and orientations of provincial minister for communication and works Malik Sohaib Bharth and secretary Sohail Ashraf. She shared that 51 of 67 road development projects in Rawalpindi covering 607 km have already been completed.

When he spoke at the ceremony, CM Maryam said these projects are “gaming extensors” for the people of Rawalpindi and confirmed her commitment to public welfare through improved infrastructure. She also announced the redevelopment of Katchehry Road and Mall Road.

The Minister of Ministry revealed plans to lay new pipelines for drinking water and address Murre’s water supply problem. She also announced the preparation of a larger project for the construction and expansion of Nullah Leh and promised to end Rawalpindi Ring Road in record time.

CM Maryam said that re-vamping of all schools in Rawalpindi is underway and near completion. She personally monitors the city’s beautification projects and emphasized the need for visible improvements at Punjab’s borders and points out the difference in cleanliness and infrastructure once they enter the nearby regions.

During the ‘Clean Punjab project’, she said the sanitation effort is strengthened throughout the province. Over 12,000 kilometers of roads have been built or repaired and 1,250 basic health units have been renewed to Mini Hospitals.

MALL ROAD UNDERGRONS RELEASED

Construction and beautification work on both undercuts along Saddar Mall Road has been completed.

Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has now launched the horticultural phase, including planting on central medians, green belts and metro columns along Murree Road.

After the end of blankets and painting work at TM Chowk and Mall Plaza Chowk underflows, Mall Road now offers a unique scenic view. Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz is expected to inaugurate the project soon.
