CNN’s international diplomatic editor Nic Robertson visited the control line (LOC), where he met with the families of two civilians who were allegedly killed in a false meeting by the Indian army.

The visit included a stop at the place where Muhammad Farooq and Muhammad Deen were martyrated. Their families, who spoke with CNN on camera, put forward emotional appeals about justice and revealed details of the alleged incident.

According to local sources, the CNN team was informed of alleged human rights violations and broader concerns about the Indian military’s behavior along LOC.

Defense experts who spoke with the media stated that such false meetings are becoming a growing international concern that draws attention from rights groups and global media.

Minister of Information and Radio and TV Sprouting Attaullah Tarar accompanied a delegation of both local and foreign journalists for key spaces along LOC.

According to officials, the visit was intended to counter what Pakistan describes as false and baseless propaganda of India regarding alleged terror developments.

Journalists were led to specific places where India has previously felt as militant camps. By observing the soil situation from first hand, hearing assessments from local residents and examining the environment, the media delegation was given a chance to independently verify facts.

In a speech during the visit, Minister Tarar said: “India has repeatedly made baseless accusations against Pakistan. Today we have presented all facts before both national and international media.”
