Chief for Army Personnel General Syed Asim Munir has promised to hunt and defeat the so-called “frenemies” one day after 18 officials were martyrs who prevented terrorists’ attempts to create roadblocks in central Balochistan district in Kalat, the military said on Saturday .
Twenty-three terrorists were also liquidated in the Kalat engagement and subsequently giant rod in the unstable province, which has been trapped in a deadly spiral of separatist violence stooked by hostile agencies working to destabilize the province of their geostrategic goals.
“Those who act as terrorist clerks for their foreign masters who have mastered the art of manifesting double standards for hunting with the dog and driving with the hare is well known to us,” quoted the military’s media wing army chief who said during a visit to Balochistan on Saturday.
The Army Chief got a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation in Balochistan. Senior security and intelligence officials were also present.
“Whatever these so -called ‘frenemics’ may do, you will definitely be defeated by our proud nation and its armed forces, Inshallah. In defense of our motherland and its people we will definitely reciprocate and ‘chase you down’ when it is necessary, and wherever you can be, ”Gen Munir said further.
This unequivocal expression of strong determination came after the ISPR shared with the media information about a “Feig Terrorist carried out at the request of inimic and hostile forces” in Kalat to disrupt the peaceful environment in Balochistan.
“On [the] night [between] 31. January and 1 February, Terrorists attempted to establish roadblocks in [the] General area Mangogen, Kalat District of Balochistan, “To target innocent civilians, ISPR said in a separate statement.
“Security forces and law enforcement authorities were immediately mobilized, which successfully averted the evil design of terrorists and sent twelve terrorists to hell, ensuring security and protection of the local population,” the military statement said. “During the performance of operations, eighteen brave sons of [the] Earth, after fighting gallantly, made the ultimate victim and embraced shahadat, ”it added.
More sanitization operations are carried out throughout the province. In such an operation performed in the Harnai district on February 1st, engaged security forces terrorists, killed 11 of them and blasted their several hiding places.
“A total of 23 terrorists have been sent to hell in various operations in Balochistan for the past 24 hours,” the military added in the statement. “The sanitization operations will continue until perpetrators and facilitators of the abominable and feige act are brought to justice.”
The Army Chief, along with Balochistan’s Governor and CM, also offered the funeral beans from the martyred soldiers and visited the wounded in the CMH Quetta. He appreciated the efforts of the tapping officers and soldiers of army, Frontier Corps and law enforcement for their courage and determination to combat terrorism, ISPR said.
He reassured the army’s decision to ensure security and well -being for the people of Balochistan, while also confirming the obligation to support the provincial government in his efforts to promote peace, stability and development of the region.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed “deep grief and regret” over the martyrdom of 18 security staff as he paid tribute to the soldiers for taking timely action against terrorists and sacrificing their lives for the country. “Terrorist elements want to interfere with the peace in Balochistan,” he said in a statement from the presidency. Security forces will continue their operations to “suppress elements hostile to the country,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation was determined to avert the evil intentions of terrorists. “Terrorists are enemies of peace and development in Balochistan. We will continue to fight against the terrorist tone until it is eradicated from the country,” he said in a statement from his office. “The whole nation, including me, stands by its brave forces in the war against terrorism.”
He praised the security forces in a follow -up statement for the successful sanitization operations against terrorists. “The evil intentions with the enemies of peace in Balochistan are never allowed to succeed. Those who spread evil in Balochistan are the enemies of development and prosperity in Balochistan,” he added.
“The government will continue to take any possible step to the development of Balochistan. The unshakable determination of the Pakistani army to protect the people of Balochistan from terrorists is commendable,” the prime minister said.
