The NCAA tournament is just around the corner, but madness in March has already begun.

No. 7 Alabama defeated top-ranked Auburn, 93-91, on the road with an overtime Buzzer beat on Saturday in a final season.

Mark Sears drove towards the paint and hit a float as the clock expired to give Crimson Tide a huge victory. Sears had just nine points, but he scored the most important two.

It was sweet revenge for Bama losing against the tigers, 94-85, on their home ground last month.

Competition was a nail bitter all the way without lead exceeding double digits. This afternoon’s biggest lead was an eight-point advantage that Crimson Tide held with approx. 10 minutes left, but it was quickly deleted.

Johni Broome hit a three for Auburn with 15 seconds left over time to tie the game on 91, but Sears did the best to get the ball in the end. Broome ended with a game-high 34 points.

After losing only two of their first 29 matches, the Tigers have lost two equal. They dropped a game on the road to Texas A&M earlier this week.
