Quetta:
Head of the opposition in the Balochistan Assembly Mir Younas Aziz Zehri staged a walkout from the house in a protest over the exclusion of Jhalawan Medical College from the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
In an address before leaving the session, Mir Youna’s provincial government was included in having neglected a project of educational importance.
“Despite consistently raising this question, no corrective measures have been taken. The project director remains responsible, although he is clearly unqualified,” said Zehri, citing incorrect management and inefficiency in the college’s administration.
Former Minister of Chief and National Party Director Dr. Malik Baloch repeated these concerns and warned that continued financing lapses and administrative failures could draw attention from Pakistan Medical Council (PMC).
“If PMC notice, the college’s accreditation could be at risk – threatening the future of hundreds of medical students,” he warned.
In response, chief minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti assured the decision.
