It’s no secret Bill Belichick drives a tight ship, but his style is apparently rubbing some people in Chapel Hill the wrong way.
Belichick, who turned 73 on Wednesday, took the UNC football coach job in December after Tar Heels went on from Mack Brown.
The football season 2024 was Belichick’s first away from the sidelines of almost 50 years. He had some interviews but never got a job and eventually took the season away, except for some media performance.

Belichick has been on the job for about five months, and according to a reporter who covered Belichick with New England Patriots, some “everyday employee[s]“Ain’t happy about what’s going on.
“From Rumbling I heard – and it’s not recent, and this one month or two ago – they don’t love the Bill Belichick experience. If you’re an everyday employee down there, which is probably what many of the people here in 2000 felt when Bill came on board and said, ‘I don’t know if I like this,’ it’s unpleasant, ‘Tom Curran said at Weei this week.

Curran’s report came after the athletic highlighted some “notable takeaways” from Belichick’s tenure, including the treatment of the program as an NFL team and his 24-year-old girlfriend involvement in operations.
The athletic recently achieved E emails in which Hudson showed concerns about fans attacking Belichick and his personal life. Belichick also asked UNC employees for Hudson to be copied on E emails.

Belichick allegedly held tabs on some NFL jobs before taking UNC performance, including the New York Jets. It was also reported that Tom Brady and Belichick shared something of an interest but nothing ever realized.
