Previous University of South Florida Football coach Jim Leavitt faces several charges, including theft and battery after he was arrested in Florida on Monday after an alleged shift with an ex-boyfriend, according to police registers.
Leavitt, 68, was charged with a crime count of magnificent theft and two wrongdoing alleged change With his ex-boyfriend that Monday night.

According to an arrest report from Skt. Petersburg Police Department is accused of Leavitt of grabbing the woman by her arm as she tried to walk away from him. In addition, he is accused of taking the woman’s Louis Vuitton Purs, Clutch and Wallet, which was appreciated for over $ 5,000.

Leavitt’s lawyer, Lucas Fleming, told Fox 13 After a court’s performance on Tuesday that the situation was a “misunderstanding.”
“He thinks he did nothing wrong in this situation,” Fleming said. “[It’s a] Misunderstanding that we hope will be resolved in a favorable way for Mr. Leavitt at a time when we have the ability to make these comments and arguments to the state attorney’s office. “
