“The mentality it just stands to be aggressive. Every time we step out into the field, we try to put our hands through a person’s face. We will not be passive, ever. Every single time we will claim dominance when we get on the field.”
Hicks tried to clean up the “B” part of the motto, but it came back. Elko quickly addressed Hicks’ comments.
“It conveys something that should not be communicated so that we get it handled and addressed,” Elko said via Eagle on Wednesday. “It’s absolutely ridiculous that was said.”

Last season, Elko’s first was the head coach with Agggies, and he led the team to an 8-5 record.
While last season was his first as a head coach with Texas A&M, Elko was formerly the team’s defensive coordinator before traveling and taking the main coach job at Duke before the 2022-2023 season.

Elko returned to Texas A&M as the main coach only two seasons after he traveled to Duke after Agggies fired Jimbo Fisher.
Elko is going to lean on Hicks and the rest of his defensive line next season to step up as they will have bigger roles with Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart and Shemar Turner that went against the NFL.
