Eastern Michigan Football Route Elijah Berman was killed in a motorcycle accident involving a semitruck on Tuesday night, according to officials. He was just 17.
Berman, a member of College football The team’s recruitment class from 2026 ran on a 2006 Suzuki DL1000 in Franklin, Ohio, when he was hit by a semitruck around 10 pm. 17.12, Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news message.

According to law enforcement, the truck came, driven by 41-year-old Anthony Allen from Roseville, Michigan, a ramp from the Interstate 75 north when the truck “hit the motorcycle at the intersection.” Semitruck also hit a raised media share before overturning.

Berman was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Allen received treatment of non-life-threatening damage.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.

“We take care of Passing of Elijah Berman,” Eastern Michigan said head coach Chris Creighton in a post on X.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother Heather, current teammates, family and friends. Elijah was ultra talented, yet it was his big heart, contagious smile and amazing personality that made us fall in love with him. Rip Elijah.”
Berman was a student at Julienne Catholic High School, where he was a member of the school’s football and banquet team.
“Eli knew what it meant to be an eagle and had an influence everywhere and everywhere he went. He was a leader on the football field and the field, an Eagle Ambassador, a big brother in our Little Sibs program and a strong student with a great personality. He had just accepted an offer to chase his dreams and play college football at Eastern Michigan University,” said the school in a statement on Facebook.
