A previous one College football The player faces murder complaints after he allegedly shot and killed a man during a physical shift in a bare in Florida over the weekend, local law enforcement confirmed on Monday.
Avantae Traeviyon Williams, a previous defensive back on University of Maryland, Was arrested by the Deland Police Department Monday. He is indicted for the second degree of murder involving a firearm.

The 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody “without incident,” police said, just days after 32-year-old Keshod Harris was shot and killed in a bar in part, Florida.

According to police, officers from the Deland Police Department and Volusia Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at a bar around 10 p.m. At 01:30 witnesses, police told that a fist fighting involving several men broke out at the bar when one of the men produced a firearm.
The suspect who was later identified as Williams fled the stage. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A bartender also suffered gunshot wounds, but is expected to survive.

“At this point, this is still an open and active investigation,” the Deland police said in a statement. “Detectives are still continuing to collect evidence and conduct interviews with people about facts and circumstances in this shooting event.
