Colorado’s annual summer football camps began last week, but head coach Deion Sanders was away from the team.
Sanders, 57, deals with an unspecified health question and has been on his property in Texas, according to USA Today.
Sanders’ eldest son, Deion Jr., said he wasn’t sure when his father would be on his way back to Colorado.

The Colorado coach has treated a few serious health problems in recent years. By 2021 he had two toes on his left foot amputated due to blood clots derived from a prior surgery.
Pro Football Hall of Famer underwent an operation in 2023 to relieve blood clots in both of his legs.
Colorado ended 9-4 in Sanders’ second season as head coach in 2024. Colorado begins his 2025 season at home against Georgia Tech on August 29.
