Indianapolis Colts is a surprising 2-0 team to start the 2025 NFL season, but this record would not be possible without an unusual game that went their way after the clock hit zero in the fourth quarter.
Denver Broncos seemed to secure a road gain as Spencer Shraders 60-yard field target attempts came short and wide to the right. Denver led 28-26, and despite not scoring in the fourth quarter began to celebrate what looked like a victory.
But officials threw a flag and called a gearing penalty on Broncos. It is illegal to use a teammate on the kick line to raise himself and try to block a kick, which is what Denver was punished for.
