Washington commanders are allegedly afraid that they will have to restore the Redskins calling name or possibly meeting President Donald Trump, who inhibits their DC Stadium deal in some way.
The organization has recently come under fire from Trump so as not to restore the name in a series of truths social positions earlier this month. The New York Post reported Wednesday that team owners Josh Harris and David Blitz have warned Business Associates that the White House “actually has some leverage” over their plans to build a stadium at the old RFK Stadium site.
The stadium is on the federal country rented to the DC government for at least the next 99 years, the New York Post noted. The DC Council is ready to vote for a revised bill that would allow commanders to build the stadium, said President Phil Mendelson last week.

Trump put the pressure on the commanders, and Cleveland Guardians – called both organizations into two positions made on truth in truth.
“My statement about Washington Redskins is completely blown up, but only in a very positive way,” Trump wrote on social media. “I may be able to limit them that if they do not change the name back to the original ‘Washington Redskins’, and get rid of the ridiculous moniker,’ Washington commanders, ‘I will not make a deal for them to build a stadium in Washington. The team would be much more valuable and the deal would be more exciting for everyone.’
The president added that the guardians should follow.

“Cleveland was to do the same with the Cleveland Indians. The owner of the Cleveland -Baseball team, Matt Dolan, who is very political, has lost three choices in a row because of the ridiculous name change,” Trump added. “What he doesn’t understand is that if he changed the name back to Cleveland -Indians, he can actually win an election. Indians are treated very unfairly. Make Indians great again (Miga)!”
It was the second time in one day that he made his demands.
“The Washington ‘no matter what needs to be changed immediately their name back to the Washington Redskins football team. There is a great clinging for this,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “Likewise, the Cleveland Indians, one of the six original baseball teams, are with a stored past.
“Our great Indian people, in massive numbers, want this to happen. Their heritage and prestige are systematically taken away from them. The times are different now than they were three or four years ago. We are a country of passion and common sense. Owners, get it done !!!”
Mendelson suggested to the 106.7 fan in DC on the “Grant & Danny” show that he would have “no problem” with a potential name change.

“He suggested that the former DC resistance from the team that moved back to the city while his name was Redskins, had more to do with Dan cheater than the name,” Radio Host Grant Paulsen wrote about Mendelson. “Suggested he would have no problem with DC welcoming the team back with the name Redskins now.”
Harris has been firmly by keeping the commander’s name going. HAE said on Pakinomist Channel’s “Special Report” in April that the team would not bring the Redskins name back even with plans to build a new stadium in Washington, DC
“The Commander’s name has actually taken on a fantastic form of element in our building,” replied Harris on Bret Baier’s questions about the Redskins name coming back as part of this new stadium agreement. “So the people who certain types of players who are hard, the love football are delegated command and Jayden [Daniels]is, for example, a commander and they are ranked.
“And you know, the business staff has come into it, and obviously we’re in a military city here. There are more military staff than anywhere else, so we are moving a little forward with the commander’s name, excited about it and not looking back.”
