Terry McLaurin reported to Washington Commanders’ training camp in late July, but he did not participate in exercise sessions-as effectively appointed him as a team-in.
McLaurin’s inaccessibility centered on an injury and his frustration over his contract. But on Saturday, the commanders announced some positive news about the Star Wide receiver.

McLaurin had been activated from the physically unable to perform the list. The guard schedule is not assumed to be directly related to contract extensions, ESPN reported. However, it effectively ends McLaurin’s team-on and makes him entitled to practice and increase preparations for the regular season.

McLaurin was originally moved to the puppist due to an ankle injury. The two-time pro bowler jumped over the first four days of the camp, resulting in a six-digit fine.

Just last month, McLaurin told journalists he was disappointed with how contract negotiations had arrived.
“I want to continue my career here. I’ve created my life here. My wife and I bought our first home here. So this has been a place I’ve always wanted to be. Just to see how things have been playing has been disappointing,” he said. “I understand that everything is a business. But at the same time, I want to put myself in a position where I am appreciated, I feel appreciated and similar things. Unfortunately it has not happened as I want it to.”

If an agreement on a contract extension is not reached by the commander’s seasonal opener on September 7, McLaurin could choose to sit outside. However, that would mean he would lose gaming checks.
McLaurin has one year left on a three-year deal he accepted in 2022. He asked to be traded for another team on July 31, but the commanders have not shown much interest in trading him.
McLaurin ended last season with a career-best 13 touchdown receipts and 1,096 receiving yards. Washington thrown him off in the third round out of Ohio State in 2019. Apart from his rookie campaign, McLaurin has completed each of his NFL seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.
