Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts ended the regular season with 630 Rushing Yards. Hurts ‘running capacity is an important part of Eagles’ attack, but it is still unclear how big a threat his legs will be in this weekend’s NFC championship match.
Hurts seemed to tweak his knees during last week’s divisional round playoff match when he was in an awkward way pulled to the ground when he was fired by a Los Angeles Rams defender. The Eagles Signal caller went into the blue medical tent after Eagles hit the ball, but he returned to the shelf on Philly’s subsequent offensive possession.
Although Hurts did not miss a game in the 28-22 win over Rams, his movement seemed to be limited in the rest of the game.
Eagles will meet Commanders in the conference’s title match on Sunday, and Washington’s defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. said Hurts’ possible restrictions will not prevent his device from playing an attack style.

Eagles’ offensive plan typically requires a few designed quarterback races. If Hurts runs off his pocket at any point this Sunday, Whitt is planning to get the two-time Pro Bowl Quarterback to pay.
What’s in the process of Jalen Hurts? Eagles need much more of their Star QB
“We’ve had a number of these guys that we’ve had to prepare for,” Whitt told journalists on Thursday. “One thing is is that if he has to run the ball and if the coordinator makes the decision to run the ball, we will treat him like a running back and we will hit him.
“So, it’s their decision if they want him to hit as he gets hit. If they don’t, they’ll keep him in his pocket. So that’s what we want to do.”

Hurts ran in 39 yards and a touchdown when Eagles met Commanders in week 11. When the NFC East division enemies met for the second time in the regular season, Hurts left with a head injury after a 13-yard race. He did not return to the lineup and the Eagles lost by 36-33.

“Each team will try to tackle Jalen as a running back,” Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said. “He runs with football. They will try to tackle him. We are ultimately careful about how we use him and how we think about each game because we know how important it is to have him out there.
“I would not expect anything else. Jalen knows how to take care of himself. We know how we can help him do it as far as the scheme goes.”
Hurts practiced Wednesday, though he was listed as a limited participant. Eagles are favored to win the NFC title game. If the commanders do that, Jayden Daniels would be the first rookie quarterback in the story to start in the Super Bowl.
