Conor Maynard has repeated his claims that a paternity test has confirmed that he is not the father of Charlotte Chilton’s baby, despite doubts that her staff raised about the accuracy of the test.
Chilton announced last June that Maynard was the father of her unborn child, conceived during a one-night stand and accused him of refusing to recognize his daughter, Penelope.
Last week, MAYNARD, also 32, also came headlines by stating that a DNA test had disproved her claims.
In response to skepticism from Chilton’s Friends, Maynard’s representatives issued a statement that claimed the test was performed under appropriate legal conditions and had to put the case to rest.
With regard to this, the statement read: “The test was performed by a registered nurse in the presence of Charlotte’s legal representative. The results have clearly drawn a line during the case and we hope Charlotte can find a way to move forward.”
According to Daily MailChilton’s associates have expressed concern about the legitimacy of the tests while referring to Maynard’s decision at the last minute to change the testing location.
They claim that the whole process was controlled by his legal team, which led to Chilton questioning its validity.
Sources close to Chilton revealed to the sun that she is “bitter disappointed” of the results and explores legal opportunities to request another test.
Besides, a friend of Chilton said, “It’s been an exhausting match. Conor refused to take her call or messages and instead handed over everything to his lawyers. The testing process was completely dictated on his terms.”
Meanwhile, Maynard has apparently moved on from the controversy and advertised on Instagram that he goes into a “new chapter” in his life and buys a home with his girlfriend according to the publication.
