New Orleans – The Manning family is a staple in New Orleans since the patriarch, Archie, was drafted 54 years ago by the saints to be their quarterback.
The family’s results in the field that include their three sons – Cooper, Peyton and Eli – are widely known, but they are also active in society.
During Louisiana Legacy Gala on Wednesday night, it was announced that Children’s Hospital New Orleans would be renamed Manning Family Children’s in tribute to the family’s many years of obligation to serve children in the community.

One of the most important pillars in the hospital is never to turn a child away, and it treated 585,000 children last year. During a press conference after the announcement, Cooper Manning explained how big the hospital is because his son, Texas Longhorn’s Quarterback Arch Manning, needed some treatment in the past.
“I can tell you that Arch spent a lot of time at the Children’s Hospital and I was there and took him to get stitches. And we’ve spent a lot of time here,” Cooper Joktigtt. “Children’s Hospital is just down the street from us, and Arch is sad that he couldn’t be here tonight.
“It’s a special place, and my other son, Heid, we grew up practicing in this field and watching the helicopter come in and all the kids take a knee when they see the helicopter landing and go out with someone young.
“It’s part of the drug from our youth that grows up in New Orleans and this is an incredible facility. We’re just flattered to be part of it.”

The Louisiana Legacy event celebrated Archie and Olivia Manning with the initial Louisiana Legacy Award for their commitment to the children and their families throughout the state and the country.
New Orleans-Born and Baton Rouge-up-grown Todd Graves, founder of Raising Cane’s, donated $ 1 million to Walker’s Imaginarium, which will be a first-of-Sin-stroke interactive children’s museum in the hospital named after Walker Beery, There, Terminal Brain Cancer fought before his death.

“They gave great care for 600,000 children this year, and they don’t stop at it,” he said. “They continue to build every year, take care of more and more children whether you can afford it or not. For us, and for me to live here in the states and one day, God willing, I want to have grandchildren and great -grandchildren , having this world -class care in our backyard is invaluable.

“I think it was in 2007 that we dedicated Peyton Manning Children Your finest hour and I meant it.
“Without a doubt, I can say that this is happening tonight and that renaming this hospital is our family’s finest hour and we are highly valued.”
