Copper hires Tammy Weinrib as Chief Compliance Officer for Americas as it expands in us

Crypto -Parent Authority Copper has hired Tammy Weinrib as its new Chief Compliance Officer and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer for America, the company said in a press release on Monday.

Weinrib will lead the company’s license drive in the US market and will be part of Copper’s executive team based in New York.

Her rent is part of Copper’s expansion in the United States and follows the appointment of Amar Kuchinad to Global CEO last October.

Weinrib was previously hired as Chief Compliance Officer and BSA officer at Binance.us. Before this, she worked on Crypto Exchange Gemini.

She enjoyed a career in traditional funding before entering Krypto, with Stints at Wall Street Bank Citi (C), Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Standard Chartered (Stan).

“Her appointment marks an important step forward as we speed up our growth strategy and expand our offer to traditional funding,” Amar Kuchinad, Global CEO of Copper, said in release.

Copper said in December that it had withdrawn its application to be registered with the UK’s financial services regulator.

The decision was part of the company’s strategic shifts to focus on markets such as the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
