The provincial disaster control authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a provincial high alarm in anticipation of a sharp increase in temperatures and a possible heat wave that is expected to grab cities and erases from 15 to 19 May.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday, PDMA -Human Director Irfan Ali Khan has instructed all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners throughout Punjab to remain vigilant.

A PDMA spokesman stated that an unusual temperature rise is expected in the coming days when temperatures are expected to remain 4 to 7 degrees Celsius over the seasonal average until May 20.

Officials confirmed that compensation would be delivered to the deceased couple’s relatives.
