Court extends interim bail for Ducky Bhai’s wife in gambling app case

The Lahore Sessions Court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in the case of promoting a gambling app.

Justice Mansoor Ali Qureshi extended her bail till March 24 and directed her to ensure that she attends future hearings, warning that no exceptions would be granted to her bail henceforth.

On Monday, the court indicted Ducky Bhai, Aroob Jatoi and other co-accused in a case registered by the National Counter Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on charges of promoting gambling and betting applications.

The case, which was registered on August 17, falls under sections 13 (electronic forgery), 14 (electronic fraud), 25 (spamming) and 26 (spoofing) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), along with sections 294-B (offering rewards in connection with trade in) and 420 dishonestly disposing of Pakistani property. During the hearing, the NCCIA investigating officer requested that the accused’s cell phone be subjected to forensic examination. The court granted the request, allowing time for the forensic process to be completed.

Citing delays in obtaining the forensic report, Aroob Jatoi’s lawyers Usman and Aftab requested that the next hearing be scheduled after Ramazan. The court granted the request.

Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most subscribed YouTubers with over 800 videos and more than 10 million subscribers, was arrested on 17 August 2025 after the NCCIA registered a case against him.

He was detained at Lahore Airport while trying to leave the country and his name was placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). The FIR was lodged under the Electronic Crime Prevention Act, 2016 and relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
