Rawalpindi:
With the start of the new fiscal year, the supply and sale of previous maps has provided legal stamps resumed over the Rawal Pindi division.
However, the real estate registration system remains the paralysis due to the absence of official notification regarding new tax rates and increased Deputy Commissioner (DC) Property Assessment Rates.
Despite heavy foot traffic on the property registration branch in the last 15 days, no new registrations have been processed.
The government’s website for submitting online fee Challans has also been non-functional for two weeks, bringing real estate transactions, proxy transfers and related legal processes to standstill.
The lack of stamps suddenly ended on July 1st, when the provincial budget did not raise their prices.
