The reason for this step was that she thought he should play a key role in setting the comic tone of the project.
Dishing more details, a source that was shared: “Running the screaming franchise from scratch has been a huge part of Courtheese’s life the last year after the original plans for the seventh movie imploded, and the stars and director left the project.”
“Courteney has helped transform the Recovered Movie into a one-time-in-life genus of the classic original 1996 that brought Matthew Lillard back and even her ex-husband David into the role crew, despite their characters being definitely killed in previous rates,” they continued.
“Of course, Courteney and David still have a strong friendship,” they remarked.
“She needs him by his side to make the special tone and comedy of the screaming franchise work,” the spy entrusted.
“Especially now that the original ensemble comes back in the center of history. As for how David comes back in history, it has been up to original screaming Kevin Williamson, which Courteney also personally pressed back into use to work on these films,” they concluded.
