The murder of Mustafa Amir, who was killed by his acquaintances, took a reversal with the revelation that he had appeared in court just hours before his death.

According to reports, Anti-Narcotics Court had removed Mustafa Amir’s name from a drug-related case before his death. Studies of officers confirmed that Amir died after his court’s performance on January 6, 2024.

Amir, who had been arrested on January 31, 2024, had received bail on March 20, 2024, along with co-accused novel Yaqoob.

However, arrest warrants had been issued for him until February 22, 2024 because of his commitment to the case.

The court’s procedure has also shed light on two associates – Mian Ammar Hamid and Faisal Yaqoob – who are currently in demand in connection with the case.

Previously, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) has expanded the accused custody in Mustafa Amir Kidnapping and Murder Case for five days.

The defendants – Armughan and Shiraz – were presented to ATC inside the central prison after the end of their original custody on Thursday.

The prosecution informed the judge that further steps, including the 164 declaration and the identification parade for employees in Armughan, should not yet be implemented.

The defense attorney, Abid Zaman spokesman, raised a concern and requested his client Armughan to be allowed to sign a power of attorney.

Armughan’s mother also sought permission to meet his son, but the judge stated that meetings could only take place in the courtroom, not outside.

When the judge asked the defendant who he wanted as his legal representation, Armughan expressed his desire to be represented by both Abid Zaman and Tahir Ur Rehman.

However, the judge ordered him to submit a power of attorney to only one lawyer at a time. Armughan ultimately chose Abid Zaman as his advice.

Attorney Zaman also filed a request for a medical examination of his client who argued that Armughan is in poor health and requires treatment.

Armughan claimed he had been denied access to food and bathroom for days in police custody. He claimed that police officers had mocked him, laughed at his situation and told him his physical custody had been expanded.

The defense lawyer explained that the defendant was disturbed and ill, which led to him making these statements.

The court noted these claims and ordered a medical examination for Armughan. It was also revealed that the girl who had allegedly been tortured by Armughan had been placed and DNA test would be performed.

Police stated the court that they had not yet received a message from the defense of the 164 statements from witnesses, but the investigation was underway.

Armughan himself protested against his custody and claimed he was harassed by police. However, the investigative officer (IO) stated that the defendant had refused to cooperate when he was originally produced for the legal magistrate.
