Court’s question that is not available for killed Mustafa Amir in drug case

A Karachi Anti-Narcotics Court has issued a non-accessible arrest warrant for Mustafa Amir, a youth from DHA who was kidnapped and murdered in January.

Amir, killed in Defense Housing Authority (DHA) on January 6, had been booked in 2024 for allegedly smuggling drugs through a courier service under the alias “Taimoor”, according to case registers.

Despite his death, the court has ordered authorities to produce him for the bench on February 27.

Amir was abducted and killed by Armaghan and Sheraz, who later filled his body in the trunk of his car before setting it on fire in Hub, Balochistan.

Armaghan and Sheraz later awarded the murder after being understood by police. It was revealed that the victim of Darji before setting the vehicle on fire while Amir was still semi -conscious.

Authorities are now expected to update the Court on Amir’s killing in the next hearing, as confusion dwells over the order issued against the deceased.

Previously, a local court in Karachi police awarded a one-day physical custody of Sahir Hassan, the son of the acclaimed actor Sajid Hassan, in connection with the Mustafa Amir killing case.

Sahir was presented with a judicial magistrate at the central prison sentence complex, where police sought a five-day custody. However, the Court approved only one day’s custody.

According to police, Sahir was arrested due to charges of possession of drugs and investigators claim he had delivered drugs in exclusive areas for the past two years. Authorities also recovered drugs worth RS50 million from him.

The specialized investigative unit has registered a case against Sahir and claimed that he obtained drugs from suppliers named Bazil and Yahya before distributing them. His role in the Mustafa Amir murder case remains under investigation.
