Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott enters its 10th season in Dallas.
Martin’s departure made the 31-year-old Prescott the longest rented player on Cowboys’ list. Prescott recently reflected on his career and admitted that the last decade has passed quickly.

“It’s not hard to be reflective,” he said on Thursday at Cowboys’ mandatory mini stamp. “I think you should, especially with how [his 10 seasons] has been. Some are injured, others are going to knock on the door and not finish it. What it does really is just making you grateful for the opportunity. Every day you come to go into this building you are healthy. Every day you will approach your teammates. You’re going to approach this game that you love. ”

Cowboys ended with a disappointing 7-10 record last season, but the new season will bring changes to the team’s list and coaching staff. Prescott will have a new broad recipient in 2025, George Pickens. Last month, Pittsburgh Steelers traded for cowboys.

The franchise also moved on from coach Mike McCarthy and promoted Brian Schottenheimer to the head coach.
Prescott has received numerous accolades during his NFL career, including offensive Rookie of the Year in 2015 and led the league in passing touchdowns in 2023. But he has a 2-5 postal season record and has never reached it for a conference championship game or Super Bowl.

While Prescott wants to win a Super Bowl ring, he made it clear that he is not pursuing the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy to secure his personal heritage.
“I want to win a championship,” Prescott said. “The legacy, no matter what comes after I finish playing, will take care of themselves. I will win a championship. Stay cursed if it is just for my legacy, or if it is for this team. It is for my personal being, for my reason. The legacy will take care of itself.
“For me it’s about not taking something for granted,” he added. “To live at the moment, soak up everything, and just make sure I’m the best version of myself to push these other guys to do it. I know we’re comfortable with the results.”
Prescott missed nine games last season with a hamstring injury, and Cowboys missed the playoffs.
