Just days after trading all-pro Micah Parsons for Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys exhausted an extension to another defensive player.
Cornerback Daron Bland and Cowboys agreed on a prolonged extension worth $ 92 million over four seasons. The deal includes $ 50 million in guaranteed money per More reports.
Mixed annual average value of $ 23 million per Season puts him among the highest paid corner backs in the NFL, sitting sixth on the list behind some of the game’s best, like Denver Broncos star Patrick Surtain II and the New York Jets Top Dog Sauce Gardner.

In just his second NFL season, mix not only led the NFL in eavesdropping in 2023, but he also set the NFL record for the most pick-sxes in one season and recorded five over his nine captures.
However, mix was only able to play in seven games last season, after suffering a stress fracture in the foot. He had to miss 10 games to start the season before coming back in November.

Mixed talked 29 solo tackles as well as a forced fumble in seven matches.
But of course, Cowboys fans are still thinking about the Parsons trade as the Elite Edge Rusher’s trading request was actually fulfilled by the owner and general manager Jerry Jones on Thursday.

Cowboys received Packers’ next two choices of the first round, while also getting the All-Pro Defensive Tackle Kenny Clark to consolidate their race in the middle. Jones justified the trade during a news conference on Thursday and said the move to Trade Parsons was based on “Success for this team” now and into the future.
“Not only do we immediately get a player, but these draft choices could get us Top Pro Bowl-Type players,” Jones said.
While there has been a great debate on Jones’ rationale for trade, Parsons no longer needed a huge extension – Packers paid him $ 188 million over the next four seasons after the trade – Jones could award assets elsewhere.
Mix has cemented himself as a reliable cornerback during his last three seasons when he is on the field, and the cowboys do not waste time in this case to get him locked in the future.

If mix did not sign a deal to start the year, he would have been an unlimited free agent after the 2025 campaign.
