- This laptop is folded into a voluminous shape, heavier than most mainstream notebooks
- Specifications remain middle class with 12. Gen Intel processors and DDR4 memory
- Lists claim external GPU -Support yet the actual feasibility remains questionable
Laptop manufacturers have long experimented with extra screens, usually through detachable screens or double -screen devices.
Now a Chinese manufacturer offers a more unusual take: A Triple-Screen Notebook that combines a 16-inch primarily panel with two 10.5-inch unfolding screens.
The idea is to provide a desktop-like workspace in a portable format, although questions about practical and build quality remain.
Design and screen configuration
At first glance, the named Chinese system here is the external monitor sets attached to existing laptops, but with integrated side panels.
Each secondary screen is connected to hinges and folds over the main panel when closed.
This design makes the unit bulker than standard notebooks, and it measures 374 x 261 x 28 mm, weighing approx. 2.6 kg.
Although heavy, it is still more compact than wearing a laptop and two separate laptops.
In use, the three screens are combined to give the equivalent of a 29.5-inch diagonal setup that offers ample room for a business-bearable computer, though the thick Bezels interrupt continuity.
The laptop is powered by the 12th generation of Intel Core P-Series processors with settings including Core i7-1260p and the slightly faster i7-1270p.
The memory can be upgraded up to 64 GB via two Sodimm slots, and there is support for PCIe 4.0 storage through a single M.2 2280 slot.
The system includes a 77Wh battery, backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor, 1MP webcam, stereo speakers and a selection of gates ranging from USB Type-A and Type-C to HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet.
For this device, some lists describe support for external graphics cards, but the lack of Oculink, Thunderbolt or USB4 raises doubts about feasibility.
Using an adapter via the lonely M.2 slot may work in theory, but it would also require a dock with room for storage.
Realistically, this feature seems more like a theoretical option than a practical option.
Product pages are also in conflict with details such as Wi-Fi standards and USB port specifications, which suggest discrepancies in marketing material.
Prices start around $ 700 for the basic version, but can reach around $ 1200 for the Core i7-1270p model.
The starting price may work the middle area, but for a laptop with three built-in screens, it can reasonably be described as a budget-laptop computer.
That said, purchasing this device will be a gamble because on AliExpress the name of the device is not indicated and the destination page only says it’s a “new Triple Screen -Game -Bearing Computer”, sold by YCX & GPD LAPTOP Store.
I would like one of these laptops without any expectation at all, only driven by curiosity to see if it really works.
