Do you remember when Cryptopunks was the ultimate flex?
The 10,000 Avatars issued by Larva Labs back in 2017 were among the crown jewels of the non-spurious Token (NFT) craze in 2021. Some NFTs of this collection picked up as high as $ 56 million worth of Ether (ETH) in the open market in 2024.
The top five most expensive NFTs belong to the Cryptopunk Collection, data from NFT Analytics Service CryptoSlam shows. But holders seem to move out their money.
The wallet behind Cryptopunks #3100, the third highest NFT sale ever, sold their collectibles earlier Friday for 4,000 ETH-a 500 ETH clipping worth over $ 10 million in dollars, as ETH even has Dove nearly 60% in the past year.
It is still a relatively high price for cryptopunk compared to the collection’s floor price – or the minimal requesting rate – of 42 ETH, or about $ 65,000, per day. CoingeCko. #3100’s value was driven by its rarity by being a “stranger” (9 of 9985 punks) and wearing a hair band (406 of 9742 punks).
NFT -trading quantities have been on a general decline since 2021, carried a few spikes in the middle of crazy periods. Total sales dipped for just over $ 58 million like April 7 and reached levels previously seen in early 2021.
